2015 Bike MS Donation Form - National MS Society

2015 Bike MS Donation Form - National MS Society

MS is a devastating disease that effects so many people.   My niece as well as many friends (Kelly and Amber to name a few) struggle with this disease every day.

A friend and neighbor, Paul Berry, is riding for his wife Kelly.  He will ride 170 miles while  raising money for  the National MS Society.

Please consider making a donation.  No amount is too little.

God Bless,

Pilgrimage To France

Crucifix on the Coast of Normandy

As I told many of our family and friends, Karen and I, along with Karen's parents (Jim and Corene Wilson) and Whitney Robichaux, are about to embark on a great adventure to France.  The adventure is probably best described as a pilgrimage.

Actually, the trip will be two pilgrimages in one.  First and foremost it will be a religious pilgrimage to some of the great shrines in the world (Lourdes, Never, Rue du Bac, Notre Dame in Paris) but also a pilgrimage to honor the greatest American generation and their sacrifice on the beaches of Normandy.  Both will bring a lot of emotion and maybe a few tears.

Many of you have asked to be kept posted on our progress; and with today's technology, I hope to be able to provide updates on a regular basis on this blog while we travel.

So say a prayer for our safe travels and check out this site if you are interested in our progress.

God Bless

Project Vigil: D-Day 2014: A Pilgrimage

Soon, Karen and I will be making a pilgrimage to France where we will see many of the great sites where the Blessed Mother came to be with us (I will share those experiences in the future).

As part of that trip, we will also make a pilgrimage to a place where many Americans made the ultimate sacrifice, giving their lives for their country, their God on Utah and Omaha Beaches.  I have been there once before and it is will be good to share that experience with my family and friends.

I was sent this video by a friend in anticipation of this visit.

I pray more young men understand the sacrifice these young men made for our country the way this young man does.

Two Years Since Benedict's Departure

Its hard to believe that it has been two years since Pope Benedict XVI resigned as Pope.  The first time since before we Europeans came to the Americas.

I remember sitting in my office at work, watching as he left the Vatican.  It was a bitter sweet moment because I admire him so much; knowing that he was doing, as always, what he thought was best for the Church. He is an example for all of us.

His departure is worth another look.

God Bless Pope Emeritus Benedict.
